rotomoulded cycle storeage system.

Our client "cyclepods" have designed and developed a high density bycycle storeage system using rotational mouldings for the principle components.

The product consists of unique straight sections and also a quadrant unit for the ends. the quadrant can of course be made as a circular configuration if required.

Interest in the use of bycycles as a means of primary transport is a fast growing sector of the the uk transport networks.  This major installation is in the basement of a major uk accountancy practice at  canary wharf in london.

The product is now being extensivley specified by architects, railway companies and schools

The material used is high density polyethylene (ico 1339) by ico polymers.

cast mould tools were produced in italy by persico.

PDM SHOW AT TELFORD

We have recently exhibited at the PDM show at Teford. we have a lot of interest in our rotomoulded products as a result of the diverse types of product displayed.

The penguin skating aids in the main reception area looked stunning, and because we had another penguin on the stand the visitors associated Orchid Plastics with the display.

A good show for us although my legs were giving me some "gip" towards the last day.

Orchid Plastics new facility is up and running

Our new factory extension (beeching park) is now in production. we have a new rotomoulding machine and robot for the trimming and machining of plastic rotomouldings.

our new moulding machine is very efficient, we have already started moulding our medical bins, tanks and other technical mouldings.

materials currently being moulded include polyethylenes and polypropylenes.

our administrative office is based in the building. the new phone system allows full interoffice capability and includes rod dix working in remote locations (is france still remote ??)

more pictures of the new rotomoulding machine to follow.
